Orion Prestige Hire was founded by a passionate car enthusiast who shares the same excitement for extraordinary driving experiences that our customers do. The belief is simple: the right car should be accessible to anyone who appreciates it, delivered to a standard that reflects the vehicle's reputation.

The Orion fleet is maintained by a specialist automotive business that has been operating since 1972 and is trusted by main dealers across the UK. Every vehicle is prepared to exacting standards before it reaches you — not just cleaned and checked, but properly looked after by people who understand these machines at a mechanical level.

We operate from two locations: our Preston base in Lancashire and our Bradford site in West Yorkshire. Nationwide enclosed trailer delivery is also available for those who prefer the car delivered to their door.

Confirm & Pay

Pay your hire deposit to secure the booking. Balance and security deposit due 48 hours before hire start.

Handover

Collect from our Preston or Bradford base, or choose nationwide delivery. Full vehicle induction and photographic inspection before keys are released.

Drive

The car is yours for the agreed period. Real-time tracking for security. 24-hour emergency contact included throughout.

Return

Return at the agreed time and location. Post-hire inspection completed. Security deposit returned within 5 working days.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum age to hire?

Minimum 25 for Standard Prestige and Ultra Luxury vehicles (including the Rolls-Royce Cullinan). Minimum 30 for Supercars (all Lamborghini Huracán variants). Minimum 25 for Performance vehicles (Mercedes-AMG GT).

How long do I need to have held my licence?

2 years for Standard Prestige vehicles. 3 years for Performance and Ultra Luxury vehicles. 5 years for Supercars. All licences must be valid full UK or European licences.

Is insurance included?

Yes. Comprehensive insurance is included on all hires, subject to eligibility criteria and hire agreement terms. You do not need to arrange your own cover. However, if you have your own motor insurance policy that provides suitable cover, a discount may be applied — please mention this when you enquire and we'll discuss the options with you.

What is the security deposit?

A refundable security deposit is required for all hires. The amount varies by vehicle and is confirmed in your hire agreement. It is returned within 5 working days of vehicle return, subject to the vehicle being returned in the same condition and within the agreed mileage and timeframe.

Can I add an additional driver?

Yes. Additional drivers must meet our eligibility criteria and be named in the hire agreement before the hire begins. Full DVLA licence verification is required for all additional drivers. An additional driver fee applies.

Where can I collect the vehicle?

Collection is available from our Preston base (Emmanuel Street, Preston, PR1 7LN) or our Bradford site in West Yorkshire — contact us for the Bradford address when booking. We also offer nationwide enclosed trailer delivery. Delivery charges from £1.50/mile up to 50 miles, £2.00/mile beyond, minimum charge £100 + VAT.

What is the mileage allowance?

150 miles per hire day across all vehicles. Excess mileage charges apply beyond the daily allowance and are confirmed in your hire agreement.

Can I take the vehicle abroad?

Yes, subject to prior written approval from Orion Prestige Hire and the purchase of appropriate additional insurance cover. Please discuss your requirements with us at the time of booking — we'll confirm what's possible and arrange any additional cover needed. Taking a vehicle abroad without prior written consent and appropriate cover is strictly prohibited under the hire agreement.

What happens if I have an accident?

Contact us immediately on our 24-hour emergency number, provided at handover. A laminated incident procedure card is in every vehicle with full instructions. Do not admit liability, do not authorise repairs, and do not move the vehicle if it is unsafe to do so.

Do the vehicles have trackers?

Yes. All vehicles are fitted with professional real-time GPS tracking devices (GeckoTrack Pro). Location data is monitored throughout the hire period for the security of both the hirer and Orion Prestige Hire.
